4 Days Sahara Camel Trekkin Tour from Marrakech to Erg Chebbi
This 4-day tour will make you discover the famous dunes of Erg Chebbi. The departure will be from Marrakech and the adventure will take place in the middle of the desert of Merzouga, the opportunity to ride on camels and spend the night in tents. This program is perfect for tourists wishing to discover the south of Morocco and its desert.
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley – Gorges Valley
You are trying to wake up early so that you can leave Marrakech and go to the Dades Gorge. On the way, you will pass through the Tizi N’Tichka Atlas pass where the view of the mountains is breathtaking. You continue to Telouet in the High Atlas and then you pass by Ait Ben Haddou to visit the kasbah where the shooting of great American movies took place. You leave by car to drive back to the Dades Valley, and it is here that you will spend the night.
Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
After waking up and breakfast, on the way to the Sahara desert, it is time to discover Merzouga and Erg Chebbi.
This trip will give you the opportunity to meet the Berbers in their villages, talk to them and learn about their culture up close. We are talking about Tinjdad and Erfoud where the landscape is unmistakable! You continue the road to Merzouga to ride a camel in full sand dunes, and spend the night in a bivouac, the sunset is so beautiful in the Sahara. You will dine in tents under the starry sky and listen to Moroccan Berber music.
Day 3: Camel ride in Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
You will surely remember the sunrise of this 3rd day, this time it will be in front of a great sunset. You will ride on camels to return to Merzouga, have breakfast and change your clothes. You get back in the car to head to Ouarzazate through the Saghro mountains. You will spend the night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Zagora – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast in Ouarzazate, you will go to visit Ait Ben Haddou and its kasbah, you will undoubtedly like to visit the place where the film Gladiator was shot!
Your driver will now take you to the High Atlas mountains via Tizi N’Tichka, the view is splendid from the valley, don’t forget to take some souvenir pictures. Passing through different villages, you will finally arrive in Marrakech but not before taking a camel ride in the dunes of Merzouga. It is in Marrakech that you will spend the last night of this interesting journey.
