The valley of Imlil is located about 65 km south of Marrakech. The road between Marrakesh and the Imlil Valley, runs through the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains and includes various points and stops to admire magnificent views of the different landscapes and shots.
The driver will join you in the morning to start this excursion. But before arriving in Imlil, several interesting stops are waiting for you.
After 35 km from Marrakech, we will make a stop at the village of Azrou (one of the oldest villages) , the driver will give you some interesting information about the place. after that possible that you will discover and visit the Women’s cooperative argan oil that only exist in Morocco.
Then Drive to the village of Asni which organizes a very popular Berber market every Saturday. Your guide will introduce you to this weekly berber market once there, of course if the day of your excursion is a Saturday !
Back to the vehicle to continue on the road, a stop is necessary to admire a magnificent views of the Imlil valley and Richard Branson’s Kasbah.
Arriving finally in Imlil to meet your professional mountain guide. He will propose you a walk of one hour or an hour and a half, to discover the mountains passing by many charming beber villages. Ait Souka, Targa Imoula, Tagadirt, between fields of fruit, walnut trees, cherries, apples, vegetables, passing by the waterfalls and see the highest peak in Morocco Toubkal Mountain (4167 meters). It is highly possible that you will be invited to drink tea, dont hesitate to accept the invitation, we prepare it superbly over there.
Then, we will go to a guest house for an authentic lunch Tajine in an open terrace with an extremely wide view overlooking the whole valley. after that you have the choice to walk a quarter of an hour to join your driver in the center of Imlil, otherwise he can meet you at the guest house to pick you up and return to Marrakech around 5pm.
